Happy April!!! Where is the year going?! haha! I hope 2024 has been good to you so far. ๐Ÿฉท I can't believe that Archer is going to me 9 months in a couple days!! It seems to be flying by now. We are also in the process of starting our next round of IVF! (I'm planning to share everything on IG like I did last time.) Several of my friends have said that after the 2nd baby it all goes by even faster. ๐Ÿ˜… Lots going on over here, per usual! I'm trying to knock out a little bucket list before we do the frozen embryo transfer & I'm hopefully pregnant! โ˜บ๏ธ๐Ÿ™๐Ÿป Anyways!! let's dive into the best sellers from March! There's so many good ones!! Walmart has been coming through!! I mean just look at these!! ๐Ÿ˜ *I make a small commission when you shop the links in this post. thanks so much for supporting my page! โ˜บ *Shop the links by clicking on the name or picture of each item.* 1. checkered beach tote bag This bag went viral!!! It's a large, insulated cooler bag, canvas material on the outer part & a large pocket on front (that can fit diapers & wipes! I checked!) There's so many uses! Lots of moms are using it as a diaper bag, lunch pail, and beach bag! I used it as a tote bag when we went on our cruise last month. It holds so much! 2. shimmering pink 40 oz stanley dupe The prettiest, most affordable Stanley dupe finally exists!! Haha!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿฉทโœจ it's the prettiest shimmering pink and it makes me so happy! I'm convinced that an extra pretty cup will make you drink more water... or maybe it's just a lie that I tell myself! Haha!! Either way, loveeee this new cup! It's better than the others because when you take the straw out, it doesn't leak!! 3. sleeveless romper THIS ROMPER!! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘Œ๐Ÿป๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป sooo good!! It's one of my top fave Amazon fashion finds.. ever! It has pockets, flowy shorts & I love the longer inseam! Rompers tend to be sooo short on me! These are more modest and super comfy! It dresses up really easily too! I ended up keeping all 3 colors that I bought! (Beige, black and light blue) I shared all 3 of them in a reel on IG and on my LTK shop. It fits true to size! I'm wearing a small! 4. twisted back tank top These new workout tanks from walmart so nice! They are such high quality! The fabric is super soft & comfy. I sized up to a medium. I wanted it a little more flowy and some added length. 5. time & tru raffia ruffled tote The cutest beach tote, perfect for all the girly girls out there! This thing is huge!! It will fit everything!! It has a pocket on the inside and it has a magnetic snap closure. You would pay so much more for this from another store!! 6. black ribbed leggings These new ribbed leggings from walmart are impressive! They are comfy, stretchy and feel really high quality! They have stepped up their game with these for sure. I'm wearing a small here. 7. speckled 30 oz stanley dupe another Stanley dupe for the win!! I snagged this tumbler in one of the other colors and I've been loving it! It's a nice change from the straw tumblers because you don't have to worry about it leaking! This one is 30oz and I've been toting it around all week! 8. time & tru deconstructed hem denim shorts I bought these shorts a couple years ago and didn't love them until this year. I sized up! Haha and now they are so much cuter to me! I'm usually a 2 in time & tru shorts. I'm wearing a 4 here. If the size 2 in time & tru shorts are a little big on you then I wouldn't size up! These just look cuter if they are a little baggy, imo! They give that expensive Levi's look without the price tag! 9. dark sage ribbed leggings These are the same as the black ones, but this new color is so pretty!! I'm not sure what this color is, but it's like a dark sage or something! So pretty and flattering! I'm wearing a small! 10. boyfriend cuffed overalls CUTE walmart overalls for the win!! Overalls usually fit kinda weird on me! I think it's the long torso & long legs combo. I always have to size up or I have to pull the straps down super low that basically my top half is hanging out of the top! Haha! These fit perfect!!! I was so surprised because I didn't even have to size up! I'm wearing a small! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ‘๐Ÿป Thank you so much for being here & supporting my page!! It really means a lot to me! I hope you have a great week! xo, Mal

  • January best sellers

Happy February!!! I hope January was good to you! It went slow & fast for me all at the same time! ๐Ÿ˜… Looking back, it seems like a million things went on. Archer hit so many milestones, my mom moved in, my mother in law moved out, and we've been hardcore cleaning and decluttering our house! You name it, we've been doing it!! Or that's how it feels anyway! Haha I'm excited for February though! I love Valentine's Day and all the cute decor & things out in stores! I feel like I do most of my decor shopping this time each year! Haha! Enough jabbing, let's talk about at month's best sellers! *I make a small commission when you shop the links in this post. thanks so much for supporting my page! โ˜บ *Shop the links by clicking on the name or picture of each item.* 1. beautiful single serve coffee maker Did we need another coffee maker?! No! But I'm really glad we got it! Haha! It's like a keurig without the pods, that grinds the coffee fresh for each brew!! It's the coolest thing! I know there's a lot of bad reviews out there but I genuinely disagree with them. A lot of the reviews I saw, say that the coffee is weak. I have to disagree completely! Actually, my only complaint is that the coffee is too strong when you use the grinding feature. (Obviously everyone has coffee their own coffee preferences) But imo, it makes normal tasting/bold flavored coffee, not watered down at all. You can also turn the grinder off and add in your own ground coffee for the perfect brew strength. I think this machine is awesome & Drew didn't pay me a dime to say that! 2. pink cargo joggers I'm so glad Walmart brought these back!! You know they must be good if Walmart brought an item back! They don't tend to bring things back like that! I'm wearing a M, but they stretch out a good bit after you wear them. I wish I had bought a small tbh. I would say that they fit tts. They also come in green! 3. enamel cast iron heart pan How adorable is this new heart cast iron skillet?! I'm so obsessed with it!! I made a heart shaped cookie skillet in it this past week! Everything is better heart shaped in my opinion! Really nice quality skillet! I love that it's coated in enamel! 4. cheapchicfinds tiered maxi So excited that this dress from my collection was in the best sellers this month! I can't believe it's been so long since the launch & that several things are sold out/on clearance! 5. time & tru striped cowl neck tunic Must have Walmart tunic!! I love this new terry cloth tunic. It's perfect. I love the unique placement of the pockets! It comes in several colors. I sized up for more length! I'm wearing a medium here but it fits true to size! 6. men's mickey mouse tees 2 pack This has to be the cutest Mickey tee! ๐Ÿซถ๐Ÿป I can't wait to wear it to the parks! I'm wearing M! 7. floral zipper pajamas Walmart's new baby clothes are even better than last year!! These adorable baby girl pjs make me wana have a little girl asap!! 8. avia women's quarter zip pullover This is one of the best Walmart athletic pullovers you'll own! It reminds me of another expensive brand. The quality is so nice and I love the extra details that make it look and feel more luxe! If you can believe it, I'm actually wearing a large here! Lol! I wanted a more oversized fit. To me, it runs a little small, and I would suggest sizing up at least one size. 9. time & tru tiered midi dress I just love this dress & this new teal color from the time & tru spring collection!! I have this dress, just haven't had a chance to try it on yet! It's adorable and comes in several colors! 10. sports sneakers I ordered these & just got them in today! I ordered my usual size, an 8.5, but I haven't tried them on just yet! I'll try them on this week! Check my story on instagram for a review! Thank you so much for being here & supporting my page!! I hope you have a great week! xo, Mal

  • Disney movie night | Hercules

Excited to share my latest Disney movie night idea with y'all!! Hercules!! About a month ago it randomly popped in my head! I can't believe I hadn't thought of doing this one before!! I had been decking my brain trying to decide on what movie to do next! I was initially hesitant to share it this month since it's not exactly "festive" but this might be one of my favorites yet! The food turned out soooo good!! Especially the Greek sheet pan dinner! The hubby requested I make it weekly!!! That's rare, yall!! Haha :) Per usual, it took me a couple of weeks to come up with what I wanted to do. I also watched Hercules several nights in a row and listened to the soundtrack to help me get into a creative mindset! I went all out! haha! I just really wanted it to be different than what's already out there and this one was a little harder for me. I also wanted it to be fairly simple to pull off! I added a few extra touches that you could totally leave out to make it even easier! Alright, enough chatting! Let's dive in. The menu: Homemade traditional Greek pita bread, Greek chicken sheet pan dinner, whipped feta dip with veggies, "mortal potion" drink, and shortcut Greek donuts! I thought it would be helpful to chat about everything and share extra details for a minute since there's so much that went into this! You can skip down to the actual recipes if you want. Traditional Greek pita bread: You can absolutely buy premade pita bread to save time! I just wanted to try something new. They weren't hard to make, just a little more time consuming since you have to wait for the dough to rise, roll them out & fry them up. I will say, they are absolutely DELICIOUS though & I would make them all over again for this dinner and I will definitely make them again! Greek sheet pan dinner: I wanted something simple and I knew a sheet pan dinner was the way to go. It turned out soooo yummy! Like I said, the hubby loved it so much I'm adding it into the dinner rotation! :) You can't go wrong with a sheet pan dinner! They are versatile, basically one & done, plus they have the added bonus of an easy clean up! Whipped feta & veggies: so easy because now there's premade whipped feta at Walmart!! It's super yummy & saves so much time! I cut up a cucumber & some whole carrots. You could save even more time here by buying baby carrots & another precut veggie! I also cut up a piece of pita bread to dip too! Mortal potion drink: once I finally figured out what I wanted to do for this, I got SO EXCITED when it all started coming together! lol! I LIVE for little creative touches like this! ๐Ÿ˜๐Ÿ˜ I made up a pink punch with a few ingredients, printed out a picture of the vial from the movie and found almost the exact shape carafe, it's just inverted, at walmart (in the dollar section)! THEN I thought of incorporating how it looks up on Mount Olympus- the clouds, how everyone is glowing, bright, and glittery. Hera, Hercules's mom came to mind and I decided to have the same drink but set up a little different to incorporate all of the heavenly mt Olympus vibes! Cotton candy for the clouds, stars for the constellations and some edible glitter! ๐Ÿ˜โœจ I'm obsessed and really proud of how it turned out! ๐Ÿ˜‡ Greek donuts ("loukoumades"): I was going to make these from scratch since the recipe is pretty simple, but I decided to save myself a little time & stress. I'm really glad I did! Haha hopefully no one gets offended by me using premade biscuit dough for these!! ๐Ÿคซ Honestly, no one will even be able to tell! I learned about this shortcut for donuts when I was in college for my dietetics degree. ๐Ÿ˜Š If you wana make them from scratch, just do a search, there's several authentic recipes out there. I listed the recipes below in order of how I think it's most efficient to prepare them. :) Traditional Greek pita bread: I used this recipe from Half Baked Harvest I didn't use a cast iron skillet, that's the only thing I did differently! I just used a regular one :) Greek chicken & veggie sheet pan dinner I combined a few recipes I found online & added my own touches to make this recipe. It's a new family fave! Greek chicken marinade ingredients: 1/2 cup olive oil 4 cloves of garlic zest of 1 lemon juice if 2 lemons 1 tablespoon stone ground mustard 1 tsp salt 1 tsp ground black pepper 1 tablespoon oregano 1 tsp thyme 1 tsp parsley a pinch of red pepper flakes recipe: Mix all the ingredients together in a large bowl, big enough to put all of the chicken thighs in. Add the chicken thighs in & mix around, making sure each thigh is covered with marinade. Cover bowl with plastic wrap and allow to marinate in the fridge for 30 min, if you can. 10-15 min at least. Sheet pan dinner: ingredients: 6 chicken thighs 2 lbs small yellow potatoes 1 red onion 2 zucchini grape or cherry tomatoes kalamata olives recipe: Preheat oven to 425ยฐ F. Wash and dry all of your produce. Cut yellow potatoes in half lengthwise. Cut the onion into about 1 inch slices, cut the zucchini into 1/2 inch half circles or rounds. Cover a large sheet pan with foil and spray with olive oil or nonstick spray. Arrange the potatoes evenly on the tray. Spray them with a little olive oil as well. Bake in the oven for 20 min or until mostly cooked through & tender. Nestle the marinated chicken thighs on the tray between the potatoes then add the zucchini and onions evenly on the tray. Bake for about 30 min. During the last 10 minutes take the tray out and add tomatoes, Kalamata olives & spoonfuls of whipped feta to the pan and finish baking. (I just added a couple handfuls of tomatoes and about a handful of olives. Chicken is done when it's cooked through & reads 165ยฐ. Take out and serve with the pita bread and an extra dollop of whipped feta! Greek donuts- louloukmades ingredients: 1 can Grands southern homestyle biscuits 8ct oil for frying honey finely chopped walnuts edible gold glitter dust edible gold stars Candy thermometer recipe: Start by pouring enough oil into a pot to over by about 3 inches. Set heat to medium high. Using a candy thermometer keep an eye on the oil as it heats up. My thermometer said 350 for donuts so that's what I did. While the oil is heating up, open the biscuits and cut each biscuit into 4 equal parts. Roll each of them into a ball (so that you'll have 4 donut holes from 1 biscuit). Go ahead and get out a plate and lay a couple paper towels on top to soak up the grease in preparation for the donuts. Once the oil is at the right temp, carefully drop 3-4 dough balls in at a time, leaving space in between. I used a slotted spoon to lower then in & them from splashing oil. Keep a close eye on the donuts at they fry. It goes fast! (I'll be honest I'm not a pro at making these by any means). Flip over each ball to fry on the other side. Use the slotted spoon to take out each donut ball and lay on the plate with the paper towel. Once they are done you can arrange them on a plate how you'd like, drizzle them with honey, sprinkle with chopped walnuts, gold glitter dust and gold stars on top (if you'd like or you can totally skip these extra details!) "mortal potion" drink ingredients: Raspberry lemonade a splash of Cranberry juice a splash of Pineapple juice can of 7 up (1 can makes about 2 drinks) recipe: whipped feta dip & veggies ingredients: Container of whipped feta (I used Athenos) Veggies for dipping - I used carrots & cucumber 1 pita bread cut into slices That's it!! I hope you enjoy! If you do this movie night please tag me! I would absolutely love to see your recreations!! โ˜บ๏ธ xo, Mal

  • viral cinnamon rolls with a fall twist ๐Ÿ‚โœจ

I've seen everyone raving about this cinnamon roll hack and I figured it's about time I give it a try! I wanted to add a simple fall spin to them though. I traded out the cinnamon for pumpkin spice in the mixture that goes on top! They turned out super yummy and everyone loved them. I was skeptical but, it's true what they say! Once you make them this way, you'll never want to go back! Viral cinnamon rolls with a fall twist: watch a video of me making these here ingredients: 1 can grands cinnamon rolls 1/2 cup brown sugar 1/2 stick butter, melted 1 tsp pumpkin pie spice 1/2 cup heavy cream recipe: Melt a 1/2 stick of butter in the microwave. Whisk in brown sugar and pumpkin pie spice. Spray an oven-safe baking dish with oil or baking spray. Take cinnamon rolls out of the can and arrange them evenly in the baking dish. Pour heavy cream on top of cinnamon rolls, covering the bottom of the dish. Spoon pumpkin spice mixture on top of each cinnamon roll. Drizzle extra in the heavy cream. Bake cinnamon rolls according to the package or until golden brown and cooked through. Allow them to cool slightly and then spread icing on top and enjoy!! These are so yummy and addicting!! I hope you love them as much as we do!! xo, Mal

  • Disney movie night | Haunted Mansion

I've been dyinggg to do this movie night and share it with yall! haha! Spooky season is my top fave time of the year. As I'm typing this, I have a haunted mansion ambiance music video playing in the background to set the mood! haha! My hubby took me to go see this movie back in July when it came out, but I wanted to wait until closer to Halloween to create this and share it. It took me a while to come up with the menu and think of something I hadn't seen before! I also wanted to keep it simple so that it would be something families could do! Also because we have an almost 4 month old baby this time around and free time isn't really a thing! haha! :) I think my fave part is the fun Madame Leota crystal ball drink! It was just so fun! The ghost shaped biscuits are surprisingly super delicious (they are a storebought hack) and go perfectly with the ghostly chili. We had 2nds and 3rds! I'm actually planning to make a big batch of this chili and a bunch of the ghosts to bring to our bible study next week! It's our turn to bring dinner and I thought this would be fun and easy enough to make for a crowd. The wake the dead cakes aren't anything super special but they are are a simple and fun little dessert! just a couple of tips before you start: These recipes are listed in the order in which I found the most efficient way to prepare them! For me, it worked out best to start with the cakes. While they are baking in the oven, work on the chili. Once the cake is done, it needs time to cool, and during that time, the chili will be finishing up, and then you can work on the biscuits. When the cakes are cooled, you can decorate them, saving the drinks for last! :) shop the post: *watch the video of me making everything here Wake the dead coffin cakes: โšฐ๏ธ ingredients: 1 box of devils food cake mix 1/2 cup espresso or coffee (I used instant espresso) 1/2 cup avocado oil 3 eggs milk chocolate icing white icing cookie decorating pouch coffin cookie cutter (linked here) recipe: Bake the cake according to the directions on the box, except trade out the water for coffee/espresso. If you watch my video on Instagram, I traded out the oil for greek yogurt and to be honest, I wish I hadn't! I'd suggest using oil or apple sauce rather than Greek yogurt for a better texture. ** I made these cakes a second time with avocado oil and they came out a lot better! Spray a 9x13 pan with oil or nonstick spray, pour in cake batter and bake according to the box. Once fully baked, let cake cool completely on a wire rack. (It will cool more quickly if you take the cake out of the pan and let it cool on the rack.) Once cool, use a coffin shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes, cut the coffins in half lengthwise and cover them with chocolate frosting. Write "RIP" on the front and outline the outer rim with a white icing cookie decorating pouch and that's it! Ghostly chili: ๐Ÿ‘ป Recipe adapted slightly from: cooking classy ingredients: 1 yellow onion, diced 1 tbsp olive oil 2 cloves garlic, minced 1 32 oz carton low sodium chicken broth 1 7 oz can diced mild green chilies 1 1/2 tsp cumin 1/2 tsp paprika 1/2 tsp dried oregano 1/2 tsp ground coriander 1/4 tsp cayenne pepper salt and freshly ground black pepper, to taste 1 8oz pkg cream cheese 1 12oz pkg frozen fire roasted corn (I like this one) 2 15.5oz cans cannellini beans 2 1/2 cups shredded cooked chicken, I boiled 3 small chicken breasts (or use a rotisserie chicken) 1 Tbsp fresh lime juice 2 Tbsp chopped fresh cilantro, plus more for serving **note: Roasted corn isn't necessary for this to be yummy. it just adds an extra depth of flavor that I love. You can use regular fresh or frozen corn. You could also roast your own corn in a cast iron skillet on high heat until corn is a little charred-(google a recipe!) recipe: Dice up the onion (I used this nifty food chopper to make it easier.) Heat some oil and the onions on medium heat for a few minutes until the onions are translucent. Shred the chicken during this time and set it aside. Add the garlic to the onions and stir, letting them cook until the garlic is fragrant, about 30 sec or so. Be careful not to let the garlic burn! :) Add in the chicken broth, green chilis, all of the seasonings, and salt & pepper to taste (I did about a 1/2 tsp of each). Bring to a boil on medium high heat and then reduce to a medium low and allow to simmer for about 15 minutes. While it's boiling, strain the beans and put 1 cup of beans and 1/2 cup of chicken broth into a blender or food processor and pulse until a smooth- set aside. Add the cream cheese, beans, bean puree, and chilis to the pot, stirring to help the cream cheese melt & incorporate. Once the cream cheese is fully incorporated add in the corn and chicken, letting it heat through for a few minutes. Finally add in the lime juice, cilantro and mix well. Taste to see if it needs any more salt or pepper- add if needed and then it's ready to serve! Happy haunts biscuits:๐Ÿ‘ป makes about 24 biscuits ingredients: 1 package of store bought pie dough toothpick ghost cookie cutter (linked here) recipe: Preheat oven to 450ยฐ. Set out pie dough to thaw out for about 20 min or so. Once easy to unroll, use a ghost shaped cookie cutter to cut out shapes. Roll the scraps into a ball and roll out with a rolling pin to make more. I was able to make about 12 ghosts for 1 sheet of pie dough. Place ghost cutouts on a parchment lined baking tray. Use a toothpick to make 3 holes in the ghost's face for eyes and a mouth. You can also fold in some of the arms to make ghosts look different, like I did! Bake at 450ยฐ for 10-15 min or until slightly golden brown. Madame Leota's crystal ball:๐Ÿ”ฎ ingredients: Glass bowls (linked here) Light up coasters (linked here) Edible glitter (linked here) Lemon lime soda glacier frost Gatorade ice **note: the glass bowls I used aren't officially for drinking out of but they worked perfect for the vibe I wanted. I just didn't want to pay a ton of money for fish bowl glasses. :) recipe: Stick the light up coasters on the bottom of the glass bowls. Add about 1/8 tsp of edible glitter to each bowl. Add your fave lemon lime soda- I used 7up and then top with blue Gatorade. You can use whatever juice you want here. I just wanted something that would be similar to the color of Madame Leota in the movie! Fill with ice (nugget ice would've been way better here, but I totally forgot to make some). Stir to make a crystal ball effect! Serve and enjoy! If you do this please tag me!! I'd love to see it and I'd love to hear what you think! xo, Mal

  • cinnamon streusel apple cheesecake bread

This seriously might be the yummiest thing I've ever baked!! Not even being dramatic! haha!! I tested it out on my hubby and mother-in-law this weekend! It's so yummy and perfect for fall!! And it actually isn't too hard to throw together and bake! I'm thinking about baking a loaf for an older lady at church! She's always baking things for people, and I think she would really love this recipe! I can't take full credit for this recipe though! I got the idea from a recipe I saw on @HalfBakedHarvest, she is the queen! She shares the best stuff! I took one of her recipes, changed a couple of ingredients and added a simple streusel to make it a little more over the top! haha! It's sooooo good!!! I really wish we hadn't eaten all of it over the weekend!! If it wasn't already late, and I didn't have to get up early for a workout class, I would totally bake another one right now! haha!! I'm definitely making another one this week. Cinnamon streusel apple cheesecake bread adapted slightly from this recipe from Half Baked Harvest *watch a video of me making this recipe here ingredients: 1/4 cup granulated sugar 1/2 T cinnamon 1/3 cup coconut oil, melted 1/4 cup apple butter 1/4 cup plain greek yogurt 1 large egg 1 T vanilla extract 1/2 cup maple syrup 1/3 cup milk 1 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1 tsp baking soda 1/2 tsp kosher salt 1 large green apple, chopped, about 3/4 cup 4 oz cream cheese at room temp for the cinnamon streusel topping: 1/4 cup unsalted butter, melted 1/2 cup all-purpose flour 1/4 cup brown sugar 1/4 old-fashioned oats 1/2 tsp ground cinnamon recipe: 1. Preheat your oven to 350 and spray a loaf pan (I used a 9x5 inch). 2. In a small bowl mix together the granulated sugar and cinnamon. Set aside for later. 3. In a large bowl, mix together the melted coconut oil, apple butter, maple syrup, greek yogurt, egg, vanilla and milk. Mix eveything until combined. Then add in the flour, baking soda, salt and mix until just combined. 4. Pour half the batter in the prepared loaf pan. Drop small amounts of cream cheese on top of the batter and swirl with a knife (mine was still a little cold and didn't swirl well! It won't ruin the recipe.) Sprinkle the apples over the top in an even layer and then sprinkle the cinnamon sugar mixure on top the apples. Then pour the rest of the batter on top of everything! 5. Make the cinnamon streusel by mixing the melted butter, all purpose flour, brown sugar, oats and ground cinnamon in a small bowl. Mix everything until well combined and then sprinkle on top of the batter. 6. Bake in the oven for about 55-65 minutes until the center is just set. Remove the bread from the pan and let cool slightly on a wire rack. It's best served warm on a cool fall day! :) I hope yall enjoy this recipe as much as we did!! I can't wait to bake another loaf! xo, Mal

For reals. It's SOO GOOD and a must have in my opinion!!! It fits true to size, but I sized up one. I'm wearing a small. • the ultimate comfort food: chicken cobbler

Happy first day of fall!! I'm so excited for all the things! I just need Florida to get with it and cool down so I can wear all the fall clothes I keep buying haha! Today I have a super yummy fall recipes to share with yall!! If you haven't made any recipe I've shared, you've gotta make this one! It's seriously delicious!! It's the ultimate comfort food, perfect to celebrate fall, and simple to throw together! chicken cobbler watch a video of me making this recipe here: ingredients: 1 stick of butter- melted the meat from a rotisserie chicken 1 box of Red Lobster cheddar bay biscuit mix 1/2 cup sharp cheddar cheese 3/4 cup water 1 12 oz package of your favorite frozen veggies (I used peas & carrots) 1 10.5 oz can cream of chicken soup 2 cups chicken broth 1/2 a packet of ranch seasoning (the powder) instructions: Preheat the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. Melt 1 stick of butter and pour into the bottom of a 9 x 13 dish. Debone a rotisserie chicken and put bite sizes pieces evenly on top of the melted butter. Pour a bag of frozen veggies on top of the chicken. Evenly sprinkle half of a ranch seasoning packet on top of the veggies. It's important to not mix! Everything should be layered. In a separate bowl, mix up the Red lobster biscuits according to the package, except, leave out the butter and add the seasoning packet into the dough mixture. Dollop spoonfuls of the biscuit dough on top of the chicken and veggies. In a 4 cup measuring pitcher, whisk together a can of cream of chicken soup and 2 cups of chicken broth. Pour it all over the biscuits. And that's it! Don't stir anything together. Leave it layered. Place it in the oven to bake for about 40-50 minutes, until the biscuits are golden brown. It will be piping hot, so let it cool for a bit before you dig in. Enjoy!! xo, Mal

  • August best sellers

Happy September!! September is one of my fave months! Not only because it's my bday but also because college football starts and the first day of fall is coming up! :) I also get a burst of energy a creativity in aug-oct! I feel like I come alive! haha I have so many content ideas buzzing around in my head!! So many ideas but so little time! haha It's funny how before I had a baby I thought there wasn't enough time in a day.. LOL!! Now I really don't have enough time. I seriously wish I could clone myself. haha!! Anyways!! I'm super excited about this month & all the fall content, and it seems like y'all are too! It's no surprise that all of the best sellers last month were fall items!! *I make a small commission when you shop the links in this post. thanks so much for supporting my page! โ˜บ *Shop the links by clicking on the name or picture of each item.* 1. pink cargo joggers I LOVE THESE!! They are super comfy and make such a fun statement. I sized up to a medium in these since they are juniors, but they loosened as I have worn them, so you might just stick to your normal size! They also come in green! I plan on wearing them this fall with a jean shacket like I showed in the video I shared on Ig. 2. corduroy puffer jacket OBSESSED is an understatement!!! This time and tru jacket is so nice and so trendy! I love that the pockets have super soft microfleece in them. I sized up one to a small bc I just like jackets to fit a little more oversized and to make sure the sleeves are long enough. Can't wait for it to be cool enough to wear this!! I keep hearing FL is going to get colder weather this year! 3. cargo pants These are super comfy!! They are different from the pink ones above though. There was some confusion on that when I posted these on Ig because the pink ones also come in green, which I didn't realize at the time! They don't have drawstrings around the waist or ankles. I'm wearing a medium in these as well but they are a little big. I think they fit more true to size. 4. men's knit pullover A MUST HAVE!!!! This men's pullover is insanely soft!!! Like wow. One of the softest sweatshirts I've ever worn. It comes in 4 colors, and it's so hard to pick a fave! I also got it in the brown color. (pictured below- #7). It fits slightly oversized, but I wanted it to be long enough to wear with leggings, so I got a medium. 5. hooded corduroy shacket Another fave!! This hooded shacket is super soft and pretty lightweight. I sized up one, I'm wearing a small. 6. ghost checkered graphic tee This is such a fun Halloween tee!! It fits true to size, but I sized up to a large to wear with leggings, but it's still not long enough! haha I'd suggest sizing up at least 1 size. 7. distressed mom jeans Love, love, love these new time and tru jeans! They fit true to size for me and have the perfect amount of stretch! I'm wearing a 2. 8. chelsea boots These were the best selling chelsea boots last year, and I'm so glad walmart brought them back! • Archerโ€™s birth story

such a surreal moment to be typing up this post! We've struggled to get pregnant for 14 years and finally got pregnant through IVF. I shared our I'VF journey as we were going along on Instagram, but I plan to share several blog posts about our experience. I also plan on starting a podcast at some point!! (I'm sure y'all are getting sick of hearing me say that). LOL It's on my goals list for this year (2023). For real, I need to rip the bandaid as they say and just do it! haha. It just feels daunting, but I know it will be worth it to share our experiences. And it's really not about me, it's about helping others! Archer Bennett Ryan, born july 3, 2023 at 10:52 am (I'll share the story behind his name farther down in this post) My bestie took this pic of Archer and I on his birthday. My hubby thinks he has the cutest yawns. haha! :) IVF pregnancy & induction: The dr's office I went to suggested that I be induced at 39 weeks since we did IVF to get pregnant. They said that it's pretty standard for IVF pregnancies to be induced at 39 weeks for several reasons. There can be more complications with IVF pregnancies and there has been a coorelation with stillbirths and IVF pregnancies that go past full term. I did a little bit of research myself because I wanted to make an educated decision and I REALLY didn't want to be induced unless it was totally necessary. I talked with my dr at my next appt and told him that since I don't have any of the risk factors and my baby was healthy and passing all of the extra testing that I would rather not be induced. He agreed with me and said that they just wouldn't want to push it out to far into the 40th week to be safe. They also explained that the reason they treat all IVF pregnancies as high risk, is because of the extra risk factors but also becaue they want to take every precaution because they reconigze how much couple go through to have this pregnancy in the first place. Hearing them explain all of that really made me feel a lot better. I really had my guard up thinking I needed to fight for myself because dr's just wana control eveything and do what's best for them. 2 weeks before: week 38 & 39 My induction was scheduled for Sunday july 2nd at 3pm. The 2 weeks leading up to my induction I was trying to get him to come on his own. At my first cervical exam I was already dialted 2cm and was about 60-70% effaced. That really gave me a false sense of hope! lol I figured if I was already progressing that much then surely he would come on his own. At my next appointment I had my membranes swept but it didn't really help. I also tried a few things that my doula suggested to induce labor. I didn't go too crazy with it because I started feeling overwhelmed with ALL the things everyone was telling me to try. I ended up just sticking with a few simple ones and prayed about it. I tried sitting on an exercise ball every evening for the entire week leading up to his birth. I also drank raspberry leaf tea a couple of times, but I felt weird about it an ended up stopping (I know it's a legit thing and isn't bad for you). I tried the miles circuit a few times and did curb walking that last week. Spoiler alert- he didn't come on his own. haha Induction Day: week 40 They told me to make sure and eat breakfast, lunch and dinner before I came in (not sure how that was supposed to work out since I was scheduled to be there at 3pm. lol) We had a big lunch at Longhorn Steakhouse because I was craving steak (protein and pizza were my main cravings my entire pregnancy) haha! We headed back home, packed our bags and made sure everything was ready at the house for my friend to dog & house sit for us. Then we headed to the hospital. It felt like a calm before a storm! Haha! We joked about how we had always expected the drive to the hospital to be this ultra dramatic experience with my hubby driving like a crazy person - and here we were leisurely making our way to the hospital to meet our baby. I felt a little nervous and excited but not as nervous as I thought I would be! I knew God was and would be holding us in His hands and that whatever happened would be part of His plan for good. Once we got to the hospital, it took about 30 min to get all checked in and into our room. They immediately had me change out of my clothes & into a hospital gown. I also had to wipe down basically my entire body with these massive, scratchy antiseptic wipes. I got into the hospital bed and they immediately put a port into my forearm, put a heart rate monitor and a contraction monitor on my belly, started taking my vitals and did a cervical exam to see where I was. I was still 2cm dilated and 60% effaced. I asked the nurses if I could start with a cervical ripener rather than going straight to pitocin bc I had heard so many horror stories about pitocin. They said they would talk with the dr and let me know. My dr said that was fine and came in a couple hours later (6:30pm) and put in the first dose. She said they could do it every 4 hours. In the mean time, my hubby ran out to grab us dinner from Mission BBQ and his family came to visit. We just visited in our room while I ate dinner and the nurse came in to check on me every hour. At one point she came in and asked me if I could feel the contractions I was having and I said no! I wasn't feeling anything! She said "do you have a high pain tolerance?" I told her that I didn't think so and that I didn't want to get too cocky! haha but I'm not going to lie, it gave me a slight, false sense of hope. ๐Ÿคฃ She showed us how to read the contraction monitor and from then it was fun to see the contractions happening but not feeling them! I realized what I had thought was the baby moving, was actually contractions. LOL! ๐Ÿคท๐Ÿปโ€โ™€๏ธ My nurse was still coming in every hour and I would talk with her about some of my fears and the things I had read about online about dr's pushing c-sections any chance they get, and the horrors of getting an epidural. She really helped me feel better about all of those things. She said, "we definitely don't want anyone to get a c-section unless they have to. Don't get me wrong, I love my job, but c-sections are A LOT more work for us and I'm not trying to make my job harder LOL!" After 4 hours, 10:30pm, my dr came in to check & there hadn't been any progress, so she put another dose of the cervical ripener in. She said next time they would move onto the next steps, which would be breaking my water & starting pitocin if there wasn't any progress. I still wasn't really feeling any strong contractions, so I decided to take a nap since I wasn't sure what to expect or if it would be the last chance I'd get to sleep. My nurse still came in every hour, but she made a point to try and not wake me. The nurses I had were so sweet- seriously every single one of them. After 4 more hours, my dr came in again, at 2:30am, and did a cervical exam. I still hadn't really made any progress so she suggested that we break my water and start pitocin. I decided to be super honest with her and share my fears. I told her that I was nervous about doing a bunch of interventions & it causing me to have a c- section. I told her I had heard "interventions lead to more interventions". My dr said if I was hesitant then we should talk through everything so she sat on the end of my bed and listened to me. I also told her that my doula was suggesting that we start with a foley ballon before we break my water or start Pitocin (at this point I was texting back and forth with my doula since I wasn't needing her just yet). She was so kind and understanding, unlike I had expected- sadly! All the videos & things I had read all on social media acted like drs are just trying to get you in & out and that they ultimately just want you to have a c-section to make it easier on themselves. She said the same thing my nurse had said, that it was a lot of extra work and they only do them if absolutely necessary. She said that I was too far dilated for a foley ballon to help. She said we could try the cervical ripener one more time, but that she really didn't think it was going to help since it hadn't the 1st 2 times. She also said that research showed that artificially breaking my water and starting pitocin where the best course of action but ultimately she would do what I felt the most comfortable with. She gave my hubby and I some time to talk about it and we ultimately decided to go ahead with breaking my water but waiting to start pitocin until the next check in. My dr broke my water, and to be honest, I hated it. It was the most violating feeling to me. :( I hate thinking about how it made me feel. It wasn't anything that my dr did during the process that made me feel that way, necessarily, she was gentle, talked me through it all and went slowly but it was such an odd feeling that's hard for me to describe. Ultimately, everything worked out and it was fine, but I can't forget how it made me feel. Labor: Literally like 30 minutes after she broke my water I started feeling strong contractions! (Now this is when things start to become a blur for me but luckily I had been texting with my doula so I was able to find most of the details there.) haha. My nurse was still coming in every hour and checking on my vitals and everything. At one point she told me that if I wanted an epidural I needed to tell her before it got super bad bc it's a whole process. She explained that you have to get an entire bag of fluids and then they can do it. She said when it starts to feel like it's about to be unbearable soon- it's time to say you want it. My plan was to hold out for as long as possible so I tried to sleep as best as I could. My contracts started getting stronger and they were happening 3 at a time rather than one long one. The first of the 3 was the longest and strongest and they would taper off. I was feeling them in my back which I was annoyed about haha because I had heard back labor was way worse. Epidural: At some point, it started getting really painful and my hubby came over to hold my hand (he had been sleeping and I was letting him but once it was super intense I had to wake him up lol). He said it felt like I was going to break his finger a few times. haha! He told me that I should get the epidural and that it wasn't a sign of weakness to get it (that was why I was trying to hold out). The nurse said the same thing, she also said, "you're getting to experience labor right now.. you aren't missing out on it." LOL! So I decided to get an epidural. I was still nervous about it being painful, causing me to have to get c- section and/or paralyzing me for the rest of life (like you read online)- MINOR things really. ๐Ÿ˜… LOL! My nurse started the IV fluids to prepare me for the epidural. At about 6am the anesthesiologist came in and they set me up on the bed to get it. I started to get super nervous and wanted to back out but just as I was feeling that way I had a contraction so bad that it made me throw up. LOL It was just the reminder that I needed. My hubby was sitting in front of me holding me as I got it. GIRL, IT WASN'T PAINFUL!! The only "pain" was the burning sensation from the numbing medicine going in. It wasn't worse then when they put my IV in. The anesthesiologist also explained that it doesn't go in far enough to paralyze you and that the worst thing that could happen would be that you could get a headache. She also told me that she had 1 baby without an epidural and one with one and was never going back. lol! It made me feel better to know that she had also had one especially since she knows everything about them and does it for a living! You would think she would be the least likely person to get one if she had seen so many bad outcomes, ya know!? Once the epidural kicked in I went to sleep! haha it was so nice! It didn't feel like it took all the way though because I was still able to feel most things. I felt when they put the catheter in and when they did the cervical exams. They weren't extremely painful but I could still feel it all. His birth: Once things really started progressing I was starting to feel the contractions pretty strongly. The pain in my back was pretty much gone but I could still feel it downstairs. It was more of kinda painful pressure, the epidural was taking the sharp edge off though. I got checked again at about 7:45am and had progressed to 5cm/80%/-1. My dr checked me again at about 8:30am. I was at a 6-7/80%/0 and they started pitocin. Afterwards, my nurse came in and had me lay on my left side with my right leg up in a stirrup to help me progress further. They were also keeping a close eye on the baby the whole time and said he was responding really well to everything. She only had to rotate me once more because it really did the trick! At about 8:45am she rotated me onto my right side with my left leg up in the stirrup. At this point I was still trying to rest but once I was on my right side the contractions were super intense. My legs and feet weren't numb so I could feel the contractions happening downstairs pretty intensely. It wasn't a sharp pain but it still wasn't fun and I had to stop and breathe through them. My best friend, Rachel, showed up a little after 9am and sat at my bedside. I told her about the whole experience leading up till now while she held my hand. I had to stop talking during the contractions. lol. It was nice to have her there to keep my mind off the pain and help the time go faster. Not too long after, I started feeling a super intense pressure that wasn't going away. My nurse had told me if I felt that to press the call button because it meant that it was close to baby time. She came in to check and sure enough his head was right there. She immediately called the dr to come check as well. The dr came in a little after and said I was at a 10 and ready to start pushing! I started pushing around 10:10am. It was nice because I was able to feel all of the contractions and was able to push pretty effectively. He was born at 10:52am on July 3, 2023! The final push to get him out and them laying him on my chest all happened so fast but my brain was processing it all so slowly. I remember when they laid him on my chest it took me a couple seconds for my brain to catch up to what was happening. I held him on my chest for awhile, they did delayed cord clamping and my hubby cut the cord. The nurses took Archer over to the little bed to check that everything was 100% and my hubby went with them while I got stitched up! My dr said that I just tore on the sides and that it wasn't too bad but I still needed a couple stitches. At one point, I totally started to feel her stitching me up and she hurried up to finish faster! haha Once they checked him and got me stitched up, I was able to breastfed him and eat something. They brought me a thurkwy sandwhixh and it was one of the yummiest things I had eaten! haha! I've heard that's a thing after giving birth and it's so true! While I was breastfeeding him, one of the nurses gave me some tips and helped me. They took us to our room and showed me how to clean up downstairs and use all of the fun postpartum products! haha Hospital stay: We had friends and family come to visit, which was fun and if I'm being honest, a lot at the same time. We even had friends from church come to visit the next day, on July 4th, and bring us an entire 4th of July cookout! I had been saying for days that I was craving cookout food! haha My hubby had been coordinating it with them but it was a total surprise to me. They brought hamburgers, hot dogs, all the fixin's, French fries, drinks and even made the TikTok viral s'mores chocolate chip cookies! It was the absolute sweetest!! We ended staying in the hospital for a couple of days. We wanted to go home sooner but ultimately I'm glad we stayed because the last night we were there was super rough. Archer hardly slept at all and was really fussy. The nurse I had helped me with breastfeeding and soothing him. I wish I had gotten her contact info. She went above and beyond. She would stay in our room a little bit longer than usual and talk with me. It really felt like she was a friend. She even gave me a hug before she got off her shift! I hope I run into her again or that I'm able to get in touch with her somehow. There was also a lactation specialist that came in every day to help me and check in. It was really helpful, but every time I was feeding him and a different nurse was in the room, they would also give me tips. It felt like everyone was saying something different and it was a little frustrating to be honest. All the drs, nurses and staff we had were wonderful though. We had such a great hospital experience and I was pleasantly surprised. I really was expecting the worst after all the stuff I had read and watched on social media and online. To be honest, this experience really changed my mind completely. I was SO scared of giving birth (just in general) and nervous about the entire hospital experience. Everything went smoothly and everyone was kind, informative, caring, helpful, understanding...etc etc. All the things you would want. I'm really thankful we had such a great experience, that everything went pretty smoothly! His name: Deciding on a name for him was the hardest part for us!! I never thought we'd disagree so much!! Lol We would literally get in fights about it. It was bad. It also made me really sad. Here we were, finally pregnant and now arguing about what we were going to name him. I joked to some friends that the devil didn't get us in the waiting period, but he sure got us after with the naming portion. ๐Ÿ™ˆ I liked the name Archer before we even got pregnant with him. I liked that it's uncommon, a strong boy name and didn't clash with our last name. A lot of the names my hubby liked all clashed with our last name! My hubby thinks it's cool when all of the names sound similar. I want them all to be different. For example, I don't want all the names to end in an "n"- my hubby likes it. His middle name Bennett, came from one of my hubby's best friends- his last name. They served in the Rangers together and were super close. I thought Archer Bennett Ryan flowed really well. My hubby liked Archer at first and then all of a sudden decided that he HATED it. Lol We got into a huge fight about it one night and I went into our room and cried. We didn't talk about it at all for almost the entire next day. Finally he said he wanted to name him Archer and that he liked it. Immediately I felt bad, I felt like he was just sick of arguing with me and was giving in. I wasn't wanting it to feel like a bullying situation for him. He said that wasn't it. He just got caught up in finding other names that he forgot that he liked Archer and just had a bad attitude about it all. Once I realized he was serious and wasn't feeling pressured, a huge weight was lifted! Haha it's really stressful to not know what you are going to name your baby! We are hoping that it won't be that horrible for our next one! Thanks for reading through all of this!! I know it's a lot! Haha I'm just so grateful that we finally get to hold a healthy baby boy in our arms after all of these years. It felt so surreal in the beginning. I kept thinking, wait.. this really happened!! We have a baby!! and I would totally start to tear up and cry. God is so good and I'm so thankful for His timing. I always held onto faith, but I feel like I can totally see God's perfect timing with were we live now, the church we are apart of and the friends we have. And thank you to all of you that have prayed for us! All of y'all's encouragement and prayers mean more than you know. The tips & encouragement y'all shared through the IVF process helped me so much! It was what I needed to keep going when things were tough. xoxo, Malyri

  • July best sellers

I'm a little late sharing the best sellers this month but wow! I can't believe it's almost sept!! Haha Where is 2023 going?! This year is flying by. I can't believe my baby is almost 2 months old already!! So much has happened since I made June's best sellers blog post! :) I feel like we are kinda...sorta...starting to get into a routine/rhythm! haha! (it seems like every time I say "Things are going great! We had a really good day today" the next day ends up being extra rough! haha!! Did anyone else experience that after having a baby? I know we will figure everything out in time. :) As I'm typing this, Archer is napping in my lap and I'm sitting in out rocking chair with wireless breast pumps on! lol!! Fall fashion is in full swing and last month's best sellers are mostly fall fashion items. (whatever that means haha) But that just means if you want something you've gotta snag it!! Walmart hasn't been restocking things like they did before, not that I've noticed anyways! :( I'm working on sharing my top fall picks to help narrow down the best of the best! :) Without further ado, let's dive into the best sellers from last month! *I make a small commission when you shop the links in this post. thanks so much for supporting my page! โ˜บ *Shop the links by clicking on the name or picture of each item.* 1. denim shacket It's my opinion that everyone needs a denim shacket in their closet, especially during fall and winter!
